Measurement uncertainty associated with coordinate measurements: evaluation and reduction

The measurement uncertainty has to be assessed according to the procedures given in international normative documents. However, in coordinate metrology we meet a number of challenges in applying standard procedures. The processing of the point clouds considering the uncertainty structure will be discussed. The knowledge of the uncertainty propagation provides a basis for the measurement strategy optimization. The case studies will be shown.
