Point Clouds: Large Scale Management and Processing

Martin Kodde will present at Metromeet advanced database systems to store and query massive point clouds. He will show some results of the AHN2 dataset, a point cloud of more than 23 billion points.
Martin will explain how ultimately, a point cloud only has value if it provides the right metrics to an end-user. The challenge is to compute relevant information from a point cloud, preferably on the fly.
