THE IMPORTANCE OF METROLOGY SUPPORT IN BIG STRUCTURE ASSEMBLY

We have developed a scalable package to support Engineering and Manufacturing from the conceptual phase up to the assembly of big component. We use mainly Laser Tracker and Spatial Anlyzer software and we have tested it along several years job experience on ITER Project.
The benefits in terms of Engineering are the possibility to predict in advance any kind of difficulties in achieving the tolerances and or the possibility to assembly in real world the components. The benefits in terms of Manufacturing are the reductions of risks during production\assembly and reduction of waste caused by nonconformities. The benefits in terms of Metrology are that we could be involved along all the value chain of a projects, minimizing the risk to be not able to give the right result at the right time
