An international conference bringing together knowledge, innovation and networking opportunities for industry professionals.

On October 1 and 2, the Euskalduna Conference Centre in Bilbao will once again become an international meeting point for industrial dimensional metrology, hosting METROMEET 2026. The conference brings together companies, experts and researchers every year to explore the major challenges and opportunities shaping the future of industry.

Under the theme “Where Metrology Powers Smart Manufacturing”, the 22nd edition focuses on the essential role of metrology in the transition towards smarter manufacturing. In an increasingly digitalized and automated industrial environment, precise measurement not only ensures product quality, but also provides reliable data to optimize processes, detect deviations, support decision-making and improve production efficiency. Metrology is therefore becoming a key element in connecting manufacturing process data with intelligent decisions and advancing towards an industry that is more precise, efficient, flexible and competitive.

Over two days, Bilbao will host a programme focused on some of the technologies transforming industrial processes. Artificial intelligence, digitalization, smart manufacturing, digital twins and new inspection technologies will be among the main topics of this 22nd edition.

You can still secure your ticket by completing the form and entering the code METROMEET26 here.

Highlights of the programme include initiatives such as METAMORPHA, which explores how metrology and adaptive control can improve precision, efficiency and sustainability in advanced manufacturing processes, and HANDIA, an initiative focused on the application of artificial intelligence and non-destructive testing technologies in industry.

The programme will also feature international experts such as Edward Morse, Director of the Center for Precision Metrology at UNC Charlotte in the United States, and Thomas Engel, a researcher at Siemens in Germany, alongside other professionals from leading companies, technology centres and industry organizations.

Beyond the technical sessions, METROMEET 2026 is also a meeting place for professionals from different sectors to share experiences, build new connections and gain first-hand insights into the trends and technologies shaping the evolution of advanced manufacturing.

Established as one of the leading international events in industrial dimensional metrology, METROMEET returns to Bilbao with a clear message: metrology is not simply a quality control tool, but a fundamental component of smart manufacturing, providing the data and insights needed to make industrial processes more precise, efficient, adaptive and competitive.

METROMEET 2026 invites industry professionals, companies, researchers and experts to take part in two days of knowledge sharing, innovation and networking focused on the technologies shaping the future of industry.
