William Kerr | Metrology Engineer at the Advanced Forming Research Centre

Future directions in Hot Metrology and Non destructive testing for additive manufacturing

William Keer received a B.Sc. degree in Mathematics and Physics and an Eng.D. in Medical Devices from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. His Eng.D. thesis was on the application of ultrasonic phased array NDT methods in the reconstruction of bony surfaces for robotic knee arthroplasty. He is a metrology engineer in the Advanced FOrming Research Centre, University of Strathclyde. His interests include optical 3D coordinate measuring machines, ultrasonic phased array NDT, automated delivery of metrological and non-destructive inspection systems, uncertainty analysis and optical tracking systems.
